  • Creative Rec + Shiekh + TSH = This Shoe Helps!

I’m always inspired by how quick everyone is to become a part of the Social Enterprise movement, it just reaffirms my core belief that EVERYONE wants to do something that matters.  Creative Recreation and Shiekh Shoe’s did just that with our latest collaboration, This Shoe Helps.  The shoes are in dozens of stores and 100% of the proceeds are going toward basic human rights advancements in the form of international school and clean water projects.   Check out the video and pics below, and more pics, info and video coming soon!

  • 18 for 18 2012 – PROJECT RESCUE

Last year you may recall our skydiving fundraiser, 18for18, where we attempted to raise $18,000 by jumping out of a plane at 18,000 feet.  It didn’t work though.  We raised $38,000 instead!  So this year, why not double up?  Serinda worked her magic and organized TWO teams of do gooders, one in the original Santa Barbara Sky Dive location and the other in Vancouver, BC.  And guess what?  It didn’t work again!  This time it was $78,000.  Join us next year?!

  • This Birthday Helps

This past friday This Shirt Helps sponsored a joint birthday celebration for TSH’s very own Joe Huff (Director of Positivity) and Aaron Barker (Agent of Positivity). The event was titled This Birthday Helps and was held in philanthropic fashion as a fundraiser benefitting the non-profit organization Pencils of Promise . The event was held at a wonderful venue in Los Angeles named the Writers Room, and was attended by a youthful and influencial crowd including many notable names such as Sophia Bush, Olivia Wilde, and Wilmer Valderrama. By the end of the evening there was enough love donated that we will be able to provide 85 children with 1 entire year of school. Thank you to all who attended and suported!
